Subject: Outreach Programme Unlocking Business Opportunities: India’s Trade Agreements with UAE & Australia- Rescheduled to 12th May 2022
Kindly refer to our circular PXL/HO/Cir-005/2022-23 Dated: 27.04.22 & 29.04.22, regarding Stakeholder’s Outreach programme on India’s recently finalized trade agreements with UAE and Australia in Bangalore scheduled on 2nd May 22, the programme has now been rescheduled to 12th May 2022 at Hotel Shangri-la, Palace Road, Bengaluru. Shri Pralhad Joshi, Member of Parliament and Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines of India has consented to be the Chief Guest.
Members may kindly be aware, in India-UAE Trade Agreement(CEPA), allows automatic registration of Indian pharmaceuticals and grant of market authorization within ninety (90) days without any inspections for Pharmaceutical Products approved by the relevant Regulatory Authorities of reference countries namely Australia, Canada, European Union, Japan, the United States of America, or the United Kingdom. Likewise under India-Australia ECTA, Australia has agreedfor fast track approval for patented, generic and biosimilar medicines using the Comparable Overseas Regulator Pathway. These are expected to be a significant trade facilitation measure for India's pharma sector which will enable Indian Pharma companies to access the UAE & Australian market and aid in boosting India’s pharma exports.
