Subject: Invitation to the Outreach Programme Unlocking Business Opportunities: India’s Trade Agreements with UAE & Australia-Organised by SEPC

 

We would like to inform member companies Department of Commerce, Government of India is organizing a stakeholder's Outreach Programme on the recently signed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by India with UAE (India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) and Australia (India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement- ECTA) with lead organisation as SEPC.

 

Buoyed by the fact that India’s exports of merchandise and services has achieved the target of 450BN USD in the FY 2021-22, the industry has raised the bar in convergence with the views of our Hon’ble Commerce Minister for FY 2022-23. Services and manufacturing sector have to set the sail on course to achieve 800-850BN USD in 2022-23.

 

Exporters are expected to consolidate their growth trajectories in the existing market while exploring the opportunities in the new and emerging markets. Newly inked India-UAE CEPA and India-Australia ECTA opens up huge opportunities for exporters in UAE and Australia.

 

The outreach program aims to create awareness about the various provisions of the FTAs and highlight the export / business opportunities with Australia and UAE. Sectoral presentations on opportunities in Service Sector, Pharmaceuticals, Agricultural and Processed Food Products and other allied products, Chemicals and allied products, Textiles and allied sectors, Engineering goods, etc., will be made in the programme.

Shri Pralhad Joshi, Member of Parliament and Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines of India has consented to be the Chief Guest.
