Subject: Corrigendum to the Election Notification Dt:14.Nov.2020
Kindly refer to our Circular Dt: 14.Nov.2020 on the Notification for the Elections and inviting the Nomination Forms, we would like to inform that Council is in receipt of queries with a request to provide more clarity on the Category “Others”.
Others No Limit Definition: includes manufacturer exporters dealing with special / minor product categories/ Segments (like Excipients, Nutraceuticals, Surgical, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Pharma Packaging and Pharma related Services etc.)
With reference to the above, Council has revisited the list of Ordinary Members with respect to the Category “Others No limit” and revised the list with a view to give more clarity and in line with the definition under this Section.
Changes effected:
-
Merchant Exporters are included under one category for ease of contesting and voting
-
Similarly, the companies of LSM category below 100 crores has been suitably moved to Status Holders Over 20 crores after verifying the status holder certificate with DGFT website.

LSM companies without Status holder certificate are included under 100-500 crores giving them an opportunity to exercise their vote.

Four LSM companies pertaining to the Biotech segment added to the CRO/R& D/Biotech category
Members may kindly note that no changes were made in the remaining categories.
Department of Commerce at the request of the Council vide email dt: 10.Nov.2020 appointed Additional DGFT, Hyderabad as the Returning Officer through the DoC email dt:17.Nov.2020.
The Ordinary members wish to contest/exercise their vote are requested to go through the revised list and inform the corrections required if any, by email only to elections@pharmexcil.com, addressed to the Elections Committee with the supporting documents positively before 23.Nov.2020 6:30 pm for necessary changes.
The Election Committee also looked into the suggestion of extended time for submission of nominations and wish to inform that nominations can be submitted till 27.Nov.2020 in place of 24.Nov.2020.
