Dear Sir/Madam,

Subject: Preparatory Action for India–New Zealand FTA – Submission of Potential Pharmaceutical Export Consignments for Flag-off on 20 October 2026

As you are aware, the India–New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is scheduled to enter into force on 20 October 2026, marking an important milestone in strengthening bilateral trade and creating new opportunities for Indian pharmaceutical exporters.

In preparation for the operationalisation of the Agreement, the Department of Commerce has requested PHARMEXCIL to identify and compile details of potential pharmaceutical export consignments that could be considered for a symbolic flag-off on the date of entry into force of the FTA.

In this regard, all pharmaceutical exporters are requested to identify potential consignments scheduled for export to New Zealand on or around the above date, particularly those that may benefit from the market access opportunities offered under the Agreement,  and submit the relevant details through the Google Form provided below.
