Dear Sir/Madam,

Subject: Urgent: Submission of Inputs on Regulatory Issues Faced by Indian Pharmaceutical Exporters in the European Union

The Department of Commerce, Government of India, has requested Pharmexcil to compile industry-specific data on regulatory and market access challenges faced by Indian pharmaceutical exporters in the European Union. The information will be utilized to support discussions proposed to be held between the Hon'ble Minister of Commerce & Industry and the EU Trade Commissioner on issues impacting India's pharmaceutical exports.

In this regard, member companies exporting pharmaceutical products to the European Union are requested to provide details of the regulatory issues encountered by them, including supporting quantitative information such as the number of pending applications, current status, approval timelines, financial impact, export value affected, and any other relevant details that would substantiate the concerns raised.

To facilitate systematic collection and compilation of the information, members are requested to submit their responses through the Google Form available at the link below:

Members are also requested to upload relevant supporting documents, wherever available, such as correspondence with EU regulatory authorities, inspection requests, approval timelines, or any other documentary evidence that would strengthen India's position during the forthcoming discussions.

As the matter is of utmost importance and requires urgent submission to the Department of Commerce, members are requested to submit their responses by 5:00 PM on 03.07.2026.

Your prompt response and cooperation are highly appreciated.

With regards,
