Subject: Submission of Issues Faced in Export of Pharmaceutical Products to Uzbekistan – Request for Inputs

 

Dear Member,

 

Pharmexcil has received representations from member exporters regarding various challenges being encountered in the export of pharmaceutical products to Uzbekistan. These issues are reportedly impacting product registrations, regulatory approvals, market authorizations, and overall market access for Indian pharmaceutical exporters. In this context, and with a view to facilitating discussions during the 14th Session of the India-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, scheduled to be held on 18–19 June 2026, the above-mentioned issues will be submitted for consideration.

 

To enable Pharmexcil to compile and take up these concerns with the Department of Commerce, Government of India through appropriate channels, member companies are requested to provide details of the issues being faced in Uzbekistan.

 

The issues may include:

 

1. Market Authorization (MA) Issues

2. Product Registration Challenges

3. Regulatory Approval and Compliance Issues

4. Customs and Import Clearance Issues

5. Other Market Access Barriers

Members are requested to submit their responses by 10:30 AM on 19th June 2026 to facilitate consolidation of industry concerns and enable Pharmexcil to pursue the matter with the Department of Commerce, Government of India.

 

Your timely cooperation and detailed inputs will greatly assist Pharmexcil in addressing the challenges faced by Indian pharmaceutical exporters in the Uzbekistan market.
