Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Subject: Seeking Inputs on SPS/TBT & Market Access Issues in South Asia – Drugs & Pharmaceuticals (Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Maldives, Pakistan, Iran & Bhutan).

 

We would like to inform you that the FT(SA) Division, Department of Commerce, Government of India, is currently seeking detailed inputs on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS), Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), and Market Access Issues with respect to South Asia.

These inputs are required for an upcoming crucial meeting with all EPCs, Indian Missions, MEA, and the EP Pharma Division of the Department of Commerce. To ensure that the concerns of the industry are appropriately addressed with the Missions and MEA, members are requested to share the following information w.r.t South Asian countries.

 

1. SPS/TBT related issues Country Wise.

2. Market Access issues Country Wise.

3. Specific suggestions or possible solutions to address the identified challenges

4. List of Potential products which have scope of growth Country wise.

5. How the trade is effected with these countries due to the current war situation between Iran & US.

Inputs received will be consolidated and presented with FT(SA) Division, Department of Commerce, Government of India.  Your timely feedback is crucial to enable us to take up your issues effectively.
