In view of the ongoing geopolitical situation impacting global trade routes, logistics, and raw material availability, it has been observed that the prices and supply of key solvents and chemical inputs are witnessing significant volatility. This is likely to have a direct bearing on production costs, supply chains, and export competitiveness of the pharmaceutical sector.

In this regard, PHARMEXCIL is undertaking an urgent exercise to assess the impact of price escalation and supply disruptions in solvents/chemicals on the industry. The inputs received will be compiled and submitted to the Government of India for seeking appropriate policy support, relief measures, and facilitative interventions.
