Subject: Request for NTB/SPS/TBT issues w.r.t. Australia and New Zealand

This is with reference to the ongoing efforts to monitor and address market access barriers under India’s trade engagement with Australia and New Zealand, as well as to review and enhance FTA utilisation.

In this regard, you are requested to kindly furnish details of any Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs), Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), and Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) issues, if being faced with respect to Australia and New Zealand.

The information may include inter alia:

• Sector / product concerned

• Nature of the barrier (NTB/TBT/SPS)

• Brief description of the issue

• Stage at which the difficulty is being faced (registration, certification, customs clearance, standards compliance, etc.)

• Estimated trade impact, if available

You are also requested to propose specific suggestions or possible solutions to address the identified challenges, so that the matter may be examined in detail and taken up appropriately with the concerned authorities, wherever necessary.
