Subject: Industry Inputs on Market Access Challenges for Indian Pharmaceuticals in Russia

The Council has highlighted several market access challenges faced by the Indian pharmaceutical industry in Russia and has raised these issues with the concerned authorities through the EP (Pharma) Division of the Department of Commerce. Subsequently, the Government of India has been taking up these matters with the Russian authorities through various bilateral forums.

In this context, the Department of Commerce has further sought inputs from the industry to prepare a detailed submission for discussion during the forthcoming visit of the Commerce Secretary to Moscow.

Members are therefore requested to kindly share their company-specific issues pertaining to the following four categories of barriers:

1. Registration Process

2. Restricted Market Access

3. Price Registration

4. Clinical Trials

Your specific feedback under any of the above categories will be crucial in strengthening India’s position during these discussions.
