Subject: Request for inputs on India-Brazil Cooperation Initiative
Pharmexcil is in receipt of communication from Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Government of India, seeking expression of interest for manufacturing / supplying identified pharmaceutical products from Brazil. A meeting is scheduled with Brazilian officials for 17th October 2025 focused on enhancing Strategic India–Brazil Cooperation in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
As part of this initiative, Brazil has expressed its intent to strengthen strategic cooperation with India to foster synergies, accelerate joint projects, and promote productive and technological collaboration. A preliminary list of focus areas has been shared, which may be further expanded based on mutual interest and industry feedback.
Key Areas Identified for Cooperation
1. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: TechnicalCooperation for local production of Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), Vaccines & Insulin.
2. Health Technologies: Technical collaboration and joint ventures for nationalization of strategic health technologies: Linear accelerators, Tomography systems, X-ray detectors & Diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
3. Medical Devices & Diagnostics: Focusing on Brazil’s most imported medical products, classified under the Harmonized System of MERCOSUR (NCM):Laboratory diagnostic reagents, Medical instruments and devices (e.g., probes, cannulas) & MRI machines
The products identified by the Brazilian side is enclosed herewith for your reference and Member Companies willing to supply any of the above-mentioned products, or those capable of manufacturing them in Brazil with technical support or collaboration, are requested to share their interest and relevant details.
