Subject: Invitation to Interaction Meeting on Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Park Project to be held in Mumbai – 11th July 2025
We are pleased to inform our members that Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Park Infrastructure Ltd. (HPBDPIL) has become one of India’s largest pharma formulation hubs, with an API/KSM demand of approx. ₹38,000–₹40,000 crore annually.
To support this, the Government of India has allocated a 1,405-acre Bulk Drug Park in Una district, Himachal Pradesh, aimed at reducing API imports. With a project cost of ₹2,071 crore, the park offers strategic connectivity and will feature Common Infrastructure Facilities like CETP, waste management, steam generation, solvent recovery, and a Centre of Excellence—helping lower capital costs for manufacturers.
Tenders for key facilities have been issued, and plot allotment with attractive incentives will begin shortly. In this regard, a government delegation led by the Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), Himachal Pradesh, will visit Mumbai to engage with potential stakeholders and investors.
