Subject: Devastating Earthquake in Myanmar-Appeal for Humanitarian Assistance for supply of medicines and allied products
Members are kindly aware, the country Myanmar has been badly hit by the devastating earthquake recently, which has caused extensive damage and claimed many lives, leaving the affected populations in urgent of Humanitarian Assistance for supply of medicines and allied products
It has been reported that hospitals and clinics in earthquake-affected areas have suffered significant damage. As a result, there is an urgent need for mobile hospitals and surgical units. The required medical supplies include:

Orthopaedic surgical equipment

Bandages, gauze, and adhesive dressings
-
Antiseptics and disinfectants
-
Sterile gloves and masks
-
Sutures and wound closure strips
-
Splints and braces for fractures
-
Tourniquets for severe bleeding
-
Pain relievers (e.g., paracetamol, ibuprofen)
-
Emergency medications
-
Antibiotics to prevent infections
-
Tetanus vaccines
-
Anti-inflammatory drugs
-
IV fluids and electrolytes
-
Anti-diarrheal medications and rehydration salts
-
Insulin and other essential medications for chronic diseases

Basic first aid supplies and personal protection items

Alcohol wipes and hand sanitizers
-
Eye drops for dust exposure
-
Thermal blankets for shock victims
-
Mosquito nets (if in affected areas)

Water purification tablets
We appeal to member companies to come forward and show their solidarity by supplying the medicines/above requested products on an urgent basis.
Member companies willing to supply any of the above medicines/other products are requested to send to the mentioned address as “Donations for Earthquake Relief”. Additionally, for all parcels/shipments of medicine supplies and equipment, please include India FDA approval or other relevant product certification documents.
