Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Subject: URGENT: Shortage of Intravenous fluids in USA- Member companies having USFDA & EU/SRA approvals to submit their willingness to supply Intravenous fluids -reg

 

We would like to bring to your kind notice that Pharmexcil is in receipt of a communication from Embassy of India, Washington informing about the critical shortage of Intravenous fluids in the USA due to serious damage to Baxter International plant caused by Hurricane Helene.

 

The Hon’ble President of the USA has also declared a national public health emergency due to shortage of these critical fluids which are required for surgeries and other medical procedures. A number of hospitals have postponed non-essential medical procedures. USFDA has also authorized import of these fluids from other countries.

 

We, therefore, request member companies manufacturing Intravenous fluids, having approvals from USFDA/EU/SRA countries and capacities to supply Intravenous fluids to the USA are kindly requested to submit their willingness to supply.
