Subject: Seeking information on issues pertaining to Tariff and Non-tariff barriers while exporting to ASEAN Region
As part of our ongoing efforts to explore and enhance export opportunities in the ASEAN region, particularly in Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Brunei, the EP (Pharma) Division of the Department of Commerce, in collaboration with PHARMEXCIL, is keen to understand the challenges faced by Indian pharmaceutical exporters with respect to the tariff and non-tariff barriers.
To better address these challenges and to facilitate smoother trade relations, we are actively seeking input from your esteemed company. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping our strategies to maximize export potential.
Additionally, in line with our efforts to strengthen trade ties, we are in the process of advocating for the inclusion of a pharma annexure in the forthcoming INDIA-ASEAN AITIGA. Your expertise and suggestions regarding the sections and provisions to be included in this annexure are highly valued.
To streamline this process, we have prepared a Google Form where you can submit your market impediments and provide suggestions for the pharma annexure. Your timely response by 18th March 2024 will assist in our endeavours towards finalising the same.
