Subject: Invitation to join Authorised Operator Program (AEO)-An initiative of the Government of India

We would like to inform member companies that the Authorised Operator Program (AEO) is an initiative of Government of India to enhance security of global supply chain, promote trade facilitation and strengthen the competitiveness of Indian Businesses in the global marketplace.

The Directorate of International Customs, CBIC, Ministry of Finance is inviting member exporters to participate in the Authorised Operator Program (AEO).

An Authorised Operator Program (AEO) is entitled for several benefits including simplified customs procedures, reduced examinations and faster clearance, and priority treatment in customs-related matters. In addition, the benefits attached with the Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) with other countries shall also be available to AEO-certified exporters.

Detailed information on the AEO program and application process are available on the official website i.e www.aeoindia.gov.in. With a view to facilitate a smooth application process and address any queries or concerns related to the AEO Program, a nodal officer has been appointed in DIC as per the following details,

Please note that AEO application is to be submitted online through the AEO website.

We therefore request member exporters to register as AEO and avail the benefits of the AEO program.
