Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings from Pharmexcil!

Subject: Information Mexico-Tender of selected medicines

Pharmexcil is in receipt of communication from the Embassy of Mexico in India which seeks assistance in the procurement of select pharma products via a newly launched tender process.

The Mexican government is keen to widen the range of suppliers in the Mexican public health sector. In line with this strategy, the Mexican Institute of Health and Wellness (INSABI) this week, launched a new tender process for procuring a selected group of medicines.

It is to be noted that the tender process is established in accordance with Mexican regulation and has been published on the Compranet online portal (https://compranet.hacienda.gob.mx/). The list of required pharma products, along with their description in English has been attached for your reference. The tendering process is in Spanish and the closing date for applying for the same is 17th June 2022.

The Mexican government is urgently looking for Indian exporters capable of manufacturing the listed products, and have GMP certificates from stringent regulatory authorities in the US, EU, UK, Switzerland, Canada or Australia. This would allow the registration procedure at COFEPRIS (Mexican regulatory authority) to be started at the time of shipping and speed up the registration process.

Since the tendering process is in Spanish and needs to be completed in the above-mentioned online portal, exporters are advised to have a representative based in Mexico. However, the Mexican government is aware that companies interested in filing the tender may not necessarily have a local representative in Mexico. In this scenario, the government of Mexico recommends interested companies to contact the following person at the Embassy of Mexico for further guidance.

Given the time bound nature of this request and the deadline for filing the tender, members with a local representative in Mexico are requested to file the tender at the earliest. Member companies without a local representative are advised to contact the aforementioned officer at the earliest.

With Regards.
