Subject: Webinar on Opportunities for Pharmaceutical Companies in Guatemala- UNOPS procurement on 22nd April 2022

We take pleasure in informing you that the Pharmexcil, IPA in association with the Embassy of India in Guatemala is organizing a webinar on 22nd April 2022 to create awareness about the opportunities in Guatemala, specially on  UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) procurement. 

We understand from our mission that the UNOPS spend around USD 300m on the health sector every year and now they have shown interest in purchasing more generic medicines from India. Currently, they are importing 23% of their medicines from India, and they are planning to double it in a few years. 

Subject covered during the webinar would be as follows:

•  Brief Profile of Guatemala Pharma market 
• Brief introduction about UNOPS health programme
• Information on Guatemala Health Regulatory practices
• Information on Registration of pharma products in Guatemala
• About the generic pharma products in which they are interested in buying from Indian pharma companies

A brief  presentation with an overview of Guatemala and its pharma market prepared by Indian mission is attached for the benefit of members. Also, we are sharing the presentation of UNOPS which they are going to present on 22nd April. Members  may like to get well -prepared before the webinar  and make the Question & Answer sessions more robust.
