Subject: Mexico-India Economic Opportunities Forum
We are pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Economy of Mexico, Embassy of India in Mexico and the India-Mexico Business Chamber (IMBC) is organizing Mexico – India Business Opportunities Forum during 16th - 18th November, 2021. The scheduled forum aims to strengthen the existing bilateral trade relationship between India and Mexico and create opportunities of mutual collaboration among the stakeholders of the nations.
Mexico – India Business Opportunities Forum is scheduled to be inaugurated by the government officials on 16th November, 2021in physical format followed by a trade forum witnessing virtual round table discussions on major sectors of interest i.e Pharmaceutical, IT & Food sector etc. along with investment opportunities for bilateral commercial relations during the 3 day event.
Mexico stands to be the second largest pharmaceutical market in Latin America after Brazil and has a superior regulatory standard as compared to most of its southern neighbours. Indian pharmaceutical exports to Mexico reported a growth rate of 32.81 % amounting to USD 212.44 MN during FY -21 and is expected to gain a greater market share in the near future.
The Round table discussion on the Pharmaceutical sector is planned on 17th November 2021at 7.30PM-8.30PM (IST) wherein representatives from COFEPRIS, PHARMEXCIL and INDIA - MEXICO BUSINESS CHAMBER will highlight key areas of development and collaboration opportunities among the nations.
