Subject: Special Refund and Drawback Disposal Drive from 15.05.2021 to 31.05.2021 - Implementation of - reg.

Members are kindly aware Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has been taking adequate measures since the COVID -19 pandemic in order to provide immediate relief to the business entities, especially from the MSME sector.

In continuation to the trade facilitation measures undertaken last year, the Board has decided to focus on timely disposal of all pending refund/duty drawback claims and hereby instructs  a “Special Refund and Drawback Disposal Drive” during 15^th May 2021 to 31^st May 2021 vide Instruction No. 10/2021-Customs.

The objective is to prioritize the processing and disposal of all pending refund and drawback claims and dispose of all pending refund and drawback claims as on 14^th May 2021.

Member companies are requested to refer to the enclosed Instruction No. 10/2021-Customs and adhere to the specified guidelines for claiming their pending refunds and making the initiative of this Special drive a grand success.
