Subject: Reduction of Import Tax to 0% on medical products and suspension of anti-dumping on plastic tubes for vacuum blood Collection etc by Brazil upto 30 June, 2021- regarding.

We are pleased to inform our member-exporters that Pharmexcil is in receipt of communication from Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, FT (LAC) Section regarding the temporary reduction of the import tariff to 0% by Brazilian government in order to increase the supply of essential items required to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.

We understand that the Executive Management committee  of Chamber of foreign Trade (CAMEX) under the Ministry of Economy, Republic of Brazil in the recent meeting on 15th January 2021 has approved temporary reduction of the import duty to  " 0% "  on 258 items essential items to fight against the COVID - 19 pandemic.  CAMEX also stated that Brazilian government is planning to reduce and suspend anti-dumping duties on a total of 561 products. The list of items are enclosed below for your kind information.

As per the information above the measure will come into effect from 16th January 2021 after publishing into the official gazette and shall remain in effect until 30th June, 2021. Members may kindly note that the list of 561 products is available in Portuguese language only and interested member companies may kindly peruse it as per HSN codes.

Members may kindly make use of this opportunity & avail benefit of the above relaxation made by Brazil and expand your exports of Pharma and medical products to Brazil.
