Members are kindly aware that Pharmexcil with support of the Department of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and close coordination with Indian missions abroad is organizing a Virtual Pharma Business Meet with Africa region with the title “Indo-Africa Pharma Business Meet” during 15-19 February 2021 with Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, and Uganda.

Africa offers great potential for India's pharmaceutical products and our exports during the fy 2019-20 is USD 3513.64 mn contributing about 17% of the total pharma exports from India with a growth rate of 2.24% over 2018-19.

Africa is the largest importer of Indian generic medicines with an approximately valued at USD 6 BN. Considering the nature of the region falling into the Focus area for pharmaceutical exports from India, the council has been regularly organizing delegations to the African region covering major countries with export potential.

The council in close coordination with our missions abroad, local associations and chambers are working together towards the objective to ensure quality buyers during the forthcoming event. The Business Meet will have a webinar (for an hour) for each country followed by the Buyer-Seller Meets with each country for the rest of the day, which will be attended by the importers, traders, and distributors of Pharmaceuticals and allied products.
