Subject: BLOCK YOUR DIARY:  Pharma BSM (Virtual) in AFRICA – scheduled from 15th -19th February 2021 with Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya.

 

We are glad to inform that Pharmexcil with the support of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Missions, organising Business Meeting with AFRICA region during 15-19th February 2021 with the following countries,

  • Nigeria
  • Ethiopia
  • Tanzania
  • Uganda
  • Kenya

 

Africa offers great potential for India's pharmaceutical products and our exports during the fy 2019-20 is USD 3513.64 mn contributing about 17% of the total pharma exports from India with a growth rate of 2.24% over 2018-19.

  

Africa is the largest importer of Indian generic medicines with an approximately valued at USD 6 BN. Considering the nature of the region falling into the Focus area for pharmaceutical exports from India, the council has been regularly organizing delegations to the African region covering major countries with export potential.

 

With the prevailing COVID-19 situation and inability to participate in trade shows/organize trade delegation to these countries, Pharmexcil is organising a Virtual Pharma Business Meet and B2B with Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia from 15-19.Feb.2021, as part of the approved calendar of Events under MAI.

 

The Business Meet will have the webinar (for one hour) for each country followed by the Buyer Seller Meets with each country for the rest of the day, which will be attended by the importers, traders and distributors of Pharmaceuticals and allied products.

 

The Officials from Embassies/High Commissions, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce of India and Africa would be deliberating on the “Market perspective, Regulatory developments and opportunities present in the respective country for Indian Pharmaceutical exports”.
