Subject: Report on Pharma and alternative medicines in Nigeria

Members are kindly aware that Nigeria is one among the top 10 export destinations of Indian pharmaceuticals and has good potential to further enhance our exports. Pharmexcil  has been actively engaging with NAFDAC and the importers association of Nigeria to facilitate Indian exporters. 

We are pleased to inform that the High Commission of India, Abuja, Nigeria has commissioned a study on "Pharma and alternative medicines in Nigeria ''. The study aimed at  Nigeria’s healthcare industry, the pharma and alternative medicine sub-sector, the regulatory environment, classes of generic drugs, pharma product registration and importation process etc. The study report  may be of great use for Indian businesses looking to engage with Nigeria in the health / pharma / traditional medicine sectors. This report finds its relevance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and Africa's desire to engage more vigorously with India in the health and pharma sector.
