Dear Sir / Madam,

 

Subject: Extension of time limit for submission of claims related to expenditure incurred on statutory compliances abroad for the year 2019-20 and 2020-21 under MAI Scheme.

You are kindly aware that Pharmexcil has made  a representation to the Commerce Ministry on the issues being faced by the member companies in filling the MAI claim applications within 90 days from the date of issue of registration certificates due to the outbreak of COVID 19 and lock down.  

Considering our representations, the Government has extended the time limit prescribed at Sl. No.11 of the Table, below para 6.1 of the Guidelines for Funding under the MAI Scheme, related to submission of claims by the exports of reimbursement of expenditure incurred on statutory compliances abroad, to the concerned EPC/FIEO, 90 days to 180 days, for the claims pertaining to the financial years 2019-20 and 2020-21. 

Members are advised to take note of this important circular and file their claims within 180 days from the date of issue of Registration certificates for the claims pertaining to FY 2019-20 and 2020-21 only.

Copy of the communication received from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry is enclosed for reference of members.
