TRADE DELEGATION TO BAHRAIN & NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES DURING JUNE/JULY 2015

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

We would like to inform all our member companies that our Embassy in Bahrain is requesting Pharmexcil to mount a Business Delegation Informing good local demand from local importers. It is also informed that NHRA, the Regulatory Authority of Bahrain is also willing to extend its support for registering the products in Bahrain, provided the suggested criterion is fulfilled. 

 

During the year, India's exports of Pharmaceuticals to Bahrain are to the tune of USD 3.72 mn worth (44.51 Rs.Crores), compared to 2012-13 at USD 2.73mn (15.02 Rs.Crores) growing at the rate of 196.34% over the last year. The details are given below:

Keeping in view, the increasing demand and market potential in Bahrain and scope for opening up market for other GCC Countries, we propose to take delegation to Bahrain and other one/two neighboring countries like Turkey, Saudi, Qatar, Oman etc.

 

The suggested criteria by NHRA, Bahrain as received from our embassy are reproduced below: 

 

(i) follow current Good Manufacturing Practices;

(ii) have drug manufacturing licences to manufacture drugs in India without any restrictions and are properly accredited;

(iii) have export licences and are already exporting drugs to US, UK, Europe, EU, Singapore, Malaysia etc.

 

Assistance to the participants under MDA Scheme*:

Subject to the approval of Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and also other rules of MDA scheme, members whose export turnover for the previous year is less than Rs. 30 crores and has one year membership with the Council, will be eligible for the financial assistance to the extent of Rs.0.70lakhs towards cost of air fare.

 

Our council proposes to mount this delegation if there are adequate members (who satisfy the above requirements) are interested. We therefore request all to consider the above and give feedback for taking a final decision.
