Subject: Standard Input Output Norms (SION) - Inviting inputs on products requiring SION fixation
Member companies are kindly aware, Standard Input Output Norms (SION) are important for import of raw materials required to make units of output for export purposes. SION is applicable for the products such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, engineering, chemical, food and marine products, handicraft, plastic and leather products etc.
We were approached by some of the members informing that they are experiencing delays/difficulty in fixation of the SION norms. Further, the exporters are also unable to accept the new orders due to the non-availability of the SION for some of the products.
In this regard, Pharmexcil is proposing to prepare such a list of formulations where the SION is not fixed/pending for fixation and take up the matter with DGFT for fixation of SION norms positively.
We therefore request member companies to kindly provide the list of products requiring SION fixation in the table given below,
