Subject: Seminar on Sustainable Pharma Manufacturing and Green Chemistry
We would like to inform member companies that the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Telangana is organising a one-day Seminar on "Sustainable Pharma Manufacturing and Green Chemistry" on 30 January 2026 at the CII Green Business Centre.
The pharmaceutical industry globally is witnessing a decisive shift, where sustainability is no longer viewed as an optional initiative but as a critical determinant of market access, competitiveness and long-term growth.
The seminar will bring together senior industry leaders, sustainability experts and practitioners to deliberate on emerging global expectations and practical pathways for Indian pharmaceutical companies to align with sustainable manufacturing norms.
Key focus areas include:
-
Green and sustainable chemistry in design, development and manufacturing
-
Decarbonisation of pharma operations and leadership perspectives
-
Circular manufacturing, resource efficiency and water stewardship
-
Sustainable sourcing and supply-chain alignment with global norms
-
ESG expectations, regulatory preparedness and export-market requirements
With increasing scrutiny from global regulators, buyers and investors on environmental performance and responsible sourcing, this platform aims to help Indian pharma companies understand how sustainability can serve as a strategic and commercial enabler, rather than merely a compliance obligation.
Members are encouraged to participate and nominate senior leadership, sustainability, manufacturing, EHS, engineering and supply-chain teams for this important knowledge-sharing and networking forum.
Date: 30 January 2026
