Subject: NOTIFICATION OF POSTPONEMENT PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION IMPLEMENTATION

Pertaining to the Circular No. PXL/HO/Cir-052/2025-26released on 06^th  August 2025, titled "Mandatory Implementation of Pre-Shipment Document Verification, Inspection, Testing, and CRIA Requirement for Pharmaceutical Exports to Zambia", It was previously communicated by the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority(ZAMRA) that the regulation requiring pre-shipment document verification, physical inspection, quality control testing, and the issuance of the Clean Report of Inspection and Analysis (CRIA) for pharmaceutical exports to Zambia would come into effect from 1st October 2025.

It is now communicated by the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) that the commencement of the pre-shipment exercise has been postponed until further notice. An updated implementation timeline will be issued at the appropriate time.

We request all member companies exporting pharmaceuticals to Zambia to take note and act accordingly.
