South Korea Pharmaceutical market is one of the largest and most advanced in Asia with total market size of US$ 28 Billion and the market is expected to grow annually between 7~9% till 2030. Historically a generics-focused manufacturing hub, the sector is rapidly transitioning into a global center for biopharmaceuticals, biosimilars, and innovative drug discovery, as Korea ranks #3 in New Drug Discovery. South Korea ranks #2 in FDA approved Biosimilars. The key growth drivers are ageing population and universal healthcare coverage.

Despite being a manufacturing powerhouse, Korea remains Import Dependent on APIs, Pharmaceutical Intermediates, Botanical Extracts, Chemicals etc. Korean Pharmaceutical market is a complexly Regulated, where foreign companies must have a local partner to help them in assisting regulatory approvals and they’re known as ICC (In-Country Caretaker).

Korea Pharm & Bio is a premier international exhibition focused on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, APIs, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and packaging materials.
