Subject: India-Kuwait Joint Working Group (JWG) on Trade and Commerce-reg

We are pleased to inform you that an India–Kuwait Joint Working Group (JWG) on Trade & Commerce has been recently constituted, and the 1st JWG meeting is scheduled to be held in October 2025.

Pharmaceuticals is one of the key sectors in bilateral trade, and we would like to utilize this platform to address market access concerns for Indian companies in Kuwait and to strategize on strengthening bilateral collaboration in this field.

In this context, Pharmexcil is compiling inputs from the Indian pharmaceutical industry regarding any challenges faced specifically with the Kuwait Drug & Food Control Authority (KDFCA) & MoH. We request your esteemed organization to kindly share any concerns or observations in relation to the following areas:

• Product registration or renewals
• Regulatory or technical requirements
• Inspection or audit-related concerns
• Pricing-related issues
• Import permissions or delays
• Any other matter impacting exports to Kuwait

Your inputs will enable us to consolidate industry challenges and present them effectively at the appropriate forum for resolution.
