SUBJECT: Formulation of Foreign Trade Policy - 2023 - Seeking inputs on Vision & Strategies

You may be aware that the Ministry of Commerce Industry, Government of India is undertaking an exercise to review the current Foreign Trade Policy. The present Policy was announced on 1st April, 2015 and its operation has been periodically extended till March 31, 2023. During the period of its operations many changes/updates have been brought out in the policy, including midterm review in December 2017, after the Introduction of GST.
 
As a part of the Proposed Foreign Trade Policy Document, It is being contemplated to announce a Vision and Strategies document for laying the road map of exports of Product and Services from India along with the Schemes and handbook of procedure; w.e.f April 1st, 2023. The draft heading of 10 chapters are enclosed for your kind perusal:

Chapter 4: MSMEs for Exports
Chapter 5: Innovation and Start-Up Ecosystem
Chapter 6: Integrating Nari Shakti into International Trade and Value Chains
Chapter 7: Product & Markets
Chapter 8: Service Sector
Chapter 9: Cooperative Federalism and Improving Institutions
Chapter 10: Improving Trade Resilience: Black Swan Events
 
The Dept of Commerce is seeking Inputs on vision and strategies that hold tremendous value in framing the FTP.  It would be appreciated if members could send the inputs by March 1st 2023 to webdesk@pharmexcil.comto enable the council for onward submission to the Dept of Commerce. Your contribution in the formulation of Foreign Trade Policy in terms of inputs will be much appreciated.
