Delegation of certain Powers
to Zonal Offices of CDSCO for issue of Test Licenses

Dear Sir/Madam,
We wish to inform that a communication received from the office of CDSCO stating powers to sign Test Licenses in Form 11 of Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1945 for import of small quantities of drugs for examination or test or analysis have been transferred to the Zonal offices of CDSCO and delegating the powers to the designated officers. Copy of the Officer Order dated 30th September 2014 received from CDSCO is attached herewith for information of members.
Subsequently, another communication dated 16th October 2014 is received from the office of CDSCO, wherein it is clarified that Test Licenses for import of new drugs including biological products and medical devices for the purpose of clinical trials etc., shall be granted by CDSCO, Delhi only. Copy of Officer Order dated 16.10.2014 is also attached herewith.
