Subject: Business Opportunity for manufacturing Intravenous fluid in Guyana and supplying to CARICOM countries-Seeking Joint Venture

Pharmexcil is receipt of a communication from High Commission of India at Guyana informing that Guyana and CARICOM countries importing the intravenous fluid and is interested in manufacturing of Intravenous fluid through the Joint venture with Indian companies.

The joint ventures also presents the opportunity to manufacture Intravenous fluid in Guyana and supply to the CARICOM countries. It may be pertinent to mention that the Guyana is looking for production of bottled water and intravenous fluid, thus offering two interlinked business opportunities could be explored with the Guyana private sector.

The Guyana-India Trade Council formed under the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has identified the IV fluid production as an area of interest.

The proposed project is aimed at creating a Joint Venture with Indian company and manufacture Normal Saline, Ringers Lactate and smaller quantities of Dextrose Water and Dextrose Saline at Berbice, Guyana.
