Subject: Register for Pharmexcil’s Business Delegation to Colombia (Expo-Cum BSM) and BSMs in Brazil Guatemala and Honduras (3rd September 2018-14th September 2018)
Members are kindly aware that LAC region presents huge opportunity for India’s pharma products. Pharmexcil has been actively organizing BSMs, IPHEX-LATAM and programmes to tap the market potential. Department of Commerce too has been actively exploring various markets and there are Joint Working Groups constituted to address the trade between India and countries in LAC.
Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries are undergoing an aging of their populations, which is accompanied by an increased burden of chronic conditions, and an increased demand for more complex and costly drugs. Most LAC countries fall into a middle-income category. Policies that promote universal coverage of health services (UHC) are now under discussion and medicines are part of the debate. On the other side, LAC countries especially the public sector, are consumers of imported medicines, which implies that pharmaceutical trading has been growing steadily.

Your participation in larger number in this Delegation and Expo-Cum-BSM in Colombia is very crucial to the initiatives being taken by Ministry of Commerce and Pharmexcil to tap the opportunities in the market. This kind of platform will lead us to address all issues and challenges as well at a regional level.
Participation Details
Members may kindly note the following important points:
· It is mandatory to participate in at least two countries.
· Destinations can undergo change/cancelled subject to Our Embassy/ Missions advise in view of some unavoidable circumstances.
· Hotel name and tariffs (In consultation with Indian Missions abroad) will be informed shortly and payment to be made by participating members directly.
· Members can confirm their participation online on www.pharmexcil.comwith complete details as per given format. The link on www.pharmexcil.comwill be active 4th June 2018.

Assistance to Participants
Participating companies can avail upto Rs. One Lakh towards airfare (to and fro economy) subject to eligibility norms under the revised MAI scheme.
