Subject: BLOCK YOUR DIARY: BSM / Pharma Business Delegation to Vietnam (Expo cum BSM) 16th to 18th January 2019, Philippines (BSM) 19-22 January 2019 and Indonesia(BSM) during 23 to 25 January 2019.(MAI Assistance available)

We are glad to inform member companies that Pharmexcil is organising BSM / Pharma Business Delegation to Vietnam (16th to 18th January 2019), Philippines (19-22 January 2019) and Indonesia during 23 to 25 January 2019. The Delegation visit and its dates have been confirmed by India Mission at Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia.

The itinerary of the delegation is as follows: 

The delegation is proposed to visit these countries as an approved activity under the MAI activity of the Council. During Financial year 2017-18 India has exported USD 226.29 million worth of Pharmaceuticals to Vietnam, followed by 216.72 USD mn to Philippines and USD 140.62 mn to Indonesia. The exports to these countries are showing growth and there is also good scope for exploring these markets.

ASEAN is around $ 11.4 Billion generic market. Its major players being Indonesia, ( $ 3.1 billion generic market), Vietnam ($2.9 billion generic market), Thailand($2.4 billion), Philippines( $1.5 billion) and Malaysia( $ 0.9 bn) and the rest is shared by others. Out of the above around $ 9.0 billion is produced in those countries. India has an opportunity of $2.4 billion which is the estimated imports of generics of this region and it has exported $ 1.1 billion in 2017-18(excluding vaccines).

MAI SUPPORT:

Members whose export turnover during the previous financial year is less than/upto Rs.30 crores and who have completed one year of membership will be eligible for assistance under new MAI scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 70,000/- towards air fare, subject to other conditions of new MAI scheme and approval by Ministry. The reimbursement of airfare is permissible only to the regular Director/Partner/Proprietor of the Company (any one).

Following are the points which may please be noted:

·       It is mandatory to participate in at least two countries.

·       Approximate cost of the flight ticket would be around Rs.55,000/-  by Thai and Singapore Airlines. We would be intimating the Hotel venue and charges in our next circular.

We now request the members to please block their diary for this important programme. The details of  costing of BSM participation and Stall cost is being worked out and shall be communicated by 14th November 2018.
