Dr. Gopakumar G. Nair, an experienced Pharma technocrat and a reputed Patent Attorney is advising the centre on patent related matters. Pharmexcil has so far serviced to about 30 small and big pharma exporters by providing information on Patent status of various drugs and formulations in different countries. The emphasis of the council is to educate/help SMEs in pharmaceutical sector to be aware and utilize the benefit of IPR regime and to ensure hassle (IPR issues) free shipment of their goods to various destinations globally.   In continuation to the above activities, Pharmexcil is organizing an Awareness Programme on Patent matters in Pharma sector on 20th March 2009 at Sunville Banquet & Conference rooms, 9, Annie Besent Road, Worli, Mumbai., where eminent speakers in the Pharma Patents field viz., Dr. Gopakumar G Nair, Advisor, Pharmexcil, Dr. Kausalya Santhanam, Patent Attorney, Mr.Feroz Ali, Advocate, Dr. N.S.V.Raju, Sr.Vice-President Medreich Pharma Ltd., Ms. Andreya Fernandes, Gopakumar Nair Associates would be making presentations on the Indian and International Patent Scenario.   CEO/MD/Directors of our member companies (particularly Mumbai region) are requested to kindly make note of this important programme and attend the same on 20th March 09.  Senior Executives from the departments of R&D, Quality Control, Regulatory, Production, Legal etc., may also be deputed to attend the Seminar.  The detailed programme will be circulated soon.   We request our members to register their names immediately.
