Subject: Workshop on Sustainable Antibiotic Manufacturing hosted by Government of Telangana & RATSAM Partners on 27th Sept 2019 at Taj Deccan Hotel, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

We are delighted to inform the member companies that Government of Telangana in association with RATSAM partners (Reducing AMR through Sustainable Antibiotic Manufacturing) is organising the brainstorming workshop to discuss Issues and Develop a Joint Roadmap for Pilots to combat Anti-Microbial resistance, thus the Industry can build the competitiveness through expanding the use of best practice management of the environmental and health impacts of antibiotic manufacturing.

Objectives of Reducing AMR through Sustainable Antibiotic Manufacturing (RATSAM) is

·  Global program to support sustainable antibiotic manufacturing and reduce levels of antibiotic emissions by drug companies into the environment

·  Implement pilots in Telangana to adopt AMR Industry Alliance’s Common

·  Manufacturing Framework and Discharge Limits.

·  Build capacity of local companies to meet new global procurement standards and domestic environmental regulations to monitor antibiotic manufacturing.
