Subject: Test Run- WORKSHOP Data Upload on New Web Portal for Validation and Authentication of Drugs Export from India - Mumbai: 10th February 2020, Ahmedabad: 11th February 2020.
Having taken cognizance of the issues and concerns raised by the pharma industry with regards to Trace and Track and with specific reference to data upload issues on DAVA portal, Department of Commerce constituted an Expert Committee. The recommendations arrived after series of consultations with the all the stakeholders led to the decision of developing a new web portal for validation and authentication of Drugs Export from India.
You are kindly aware that Pharmexcil has been entrusted with the responsibility of developing the Web Portal through CDAC. Pharmexcil and CDAC conducted series of meetings and analysed all the issues, suggestions and recommendations of the industry.
CDAC has developed the software architecture for the New Web Portal with following salient features:
· Companies using GS1 code can continue doing so.
· Merchant Exporters can now upload the data using the necessary guidelines
· Companies can get CDAC codes in case they have not yet subscribed to get codes from GS1 or any other agencies.
· Bulk upload of XML files enabled.
We are pleased to launch the test run Workshop among companies (Manufacturer-exporter, Merchant Exporter, Contract Manufacturer Exporter and likewise) at the following centres:
1. Mumbai on 10th February 2020

You are kindly requested to participate or nominate key representative (maximum two persons only from one organisation) of your organisation well-versed with trace and track data upload. The representative from the company will be required to:
1. Come with their laptop enabled to upload data.
2. Go through the details shared below and have a trial run of upload before the workshop. This will enable better feedback.
In the meantime, we suggest that respective company representatives spend some time in understanding documentation, going through the portal and preparing XMLs for next 2-3 days.
We highly recommend that they come prepare with the registration & user profile information desired in the portal and XML they need upload.

a.ExportTertiaryPackaging.xml – Export Tertiary packaging XML for detailed packaging related information related to consignment export order
b. Product.xml – Product details manufactured by the manufacturer at its site for exports OR by the Merchant exporters for exports at its store
c.Manufacturer.xml – Manufacturer/Merchant Exporter detailed information
