Dear Sir / Madam,

Members may please refer to our circular PXL/HO/Cir-006/2018-19 dt. 4.5.2018 , wherein we informed about conducting seminars/workshops on Barcoding / DAVA at various places.  We have already conducted one seminar at Hyderabad on 11^th May 2018, which was well attended by the members.  Next Seminar/workshop will be held at Ahmedabad as per following schedule:

Following topics will be covered in the above Seminar:

1) Coding and Labelling Requirements – Presentation by GS1

·   Marking and labelling requirements

·   Hierarchy of product packaging

·   Logistic unit coding

·   Barcode requirements for different packaging levels

·   Common mistakes in designing barcodes

·   Barcode verification

·   DAVA Mobile Application

2) Data Preparation – Presentation by NIC

·   Maintaining and capturing parent-child relationships

·   Pre-requisites to upload data to the DAVA portal                               

·   Data upload guidelines and preparation in XML

·   Validation using XML schemas

3)  Various steps involved in implementing barcoding, Challenges & Solutions – A presentation by Industry expert

Senior officials from NIC, GS1, Department of Commerce and an industry expert  will be participating in the above Seminars.

Members, particularly from Gujarat state are advised to take part in the above seminar and get their queries clarified.

Registration:

There is no registration fee to attend the above Seminar.  Due to space constraint, pre-registration is compulsory.  Interested members may register by sending a mail to info@pharmexcil.com on or before  8^th June  2018
