Subject:­ Survey on Assessing the Impact of Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs) on Trade between ASEAN and India- Conducted by ASEAN-India Centre (AIC).

We would like to inform member companies that Council has received a communication from ASEAN India Centre, Research and Information System for Developing Countries stating that AIC is conducting a survey to study the impact of non-tariff measures (NTMs) on trade between ASEAN and India.

ASEAN-India Centre (AIC) has been set-up by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) which undertakes research, policy advocacy and regular networking activities with relevant public/private agencies, organizations and think-tanks in India and ASEAN countries, with the aim of providing policy inputs, up-to-date information, data resources and sustained interaction, for strengthening ASEAN-India Strategic Partnership.

The objective of this survey is to assess the level of awareness and perception of NTMs among the stakeholders such as traders, officials, trade/business associations, practitioners, etc.
