Subject: Tafiff and Non-Tariff Barriers – Africa – Inputs Requested – Reg.
We would like to inform member companies that the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry and Hon’ble External Minister had a video conference with Commercial Representatives in the Missions abroad held on 30th April 2020.
Based on the discussion held with Indian Missions based in Sub-Saharan African countries, the Department of Commerce has analyzed the data and found that India has the potential to increase export with the following countries in commodities as detailed below:

Keeping in view of the market potential and enhance exports to these countries, it is important to understand the market barriers including Tariff and Non-tariff (NTBs), if any.
We, therefore, request member companies to provide the details of tariff and non-tariff barrier pertaining to the above countries and also the issues if any with the rest of African countries pertaining to exports.
It is also requested to provide the details of the officer heading the Africa region (name, designation, email, and phone no,) in your company to rodelhi@pharmexcil.com with a copy to dgdesk@pharmexcil.com before 11.July.2020 for onward submission to the Department of Commerce.
