SUBJECT: Revised: Participation in CPhI-Tokyo, 18-20th April, 2018 SUPPORT TO EXHIBITORS UNDER MAI SCHEME
This has reference to our earlier circular on the subject dated 17th November 2017.
You are kindly aware that Market Development Assistance (MDA) scheme has been scrapped by the Department of Commerce, Govt of India. However we are pleased to inform our members that Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India has incorporated the component of MDA assistance to exhibitors towards overseas travel to participate in exhibition and business delegation in modified MAI (Market Access Initiative) scheme. This support is available and limited to the extent of funding approved to Councils under MAI.
Members whose export turnover during the previous financial year is less than Rs.30 crores will be eligible for assistance under new MAI scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 70,000/- towards air fare, subject to other conditions of new MAI scheme and approval by Ministry.
Therefore the confirmed participants in CPhI-Tokyo, 18-20th April can avail the benefit subject to eligibility and the funds available as per approval by the Department of Commerce.
Further, we would like to inform that we do have few stalls remaining in CPhI-Tokyo and you may like to participate. Please confirm at the earliest.
