As you are aware, the regulatory requirements are tightening for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry and we believe, this will likely continue to do so with a push for more transparency in the supply chain. Further, development in markets like China have negatively disrupted the supply chain for Indian companies with limited availability of KSMs / APIs, cost escalation, etc. Added to these issues, the price erosion in the developed countries due to consumer consolidation - bring Indian companies under tremendous pressure. In an effort to circumvent supply issues, many companies are increasingly looking at adapting advanced cost-effective manufacturing techniques, global supply chain partnerships, etc.
Under this context, the 16th edition of Telangana Government's annual international event BioAsia will be hosted by Government of Telangana in partnership with Government of India from February 25-27, 2019 at Hyderabad with the theme, "Lifesciences 4.0: Disrupt the Disruption". BioAsia is a unique platform as it brings together the right mix of government, business, academia and start-ups. It has the right balance between Multinational companies as well as domestic companies - full-fledged Generic companies, API, CDMOs and biotechnology players. It provides a great opportunity for an emerging Indian company to network with the leaders of both global and local companies who could be potential customers or partners and also accords an opportunity to learn from the very best in their journey. Senior leaders from Dr. Reddy’s, Aurobindo, Sun Pharma, Zydus, Lupin, Intas, Reliance, Cipla, among others have already confirmed participation. Senior leader from USFDA will also participate in the event and interact with the delegates.
The event will cover a wide range of topics including Pricing Pressures and Supply Chain Consolidation, Continuous Manufacturing and flow chemistry, Quality by Design, Biosimilars - Commercial Strategies, Transitioning from Mass Production to Mass Customization, among others. The event will feature eminent speakers from across the globe, from Regulators, Industry and Industry Associations, to discuss the latest developments in the field of GMP and Regulatory Compliance.
A variety of sessions have been curated around initiatives, activities and interpretations related to GMP compliance of API manufacturing. Hear from industry speakers their approaches and best practices on compliance related to the various existing and emerging aspects of API GMP and participate in discussions on the Industry outlook during BioAsia 2019.
We would like to encourage active participation of pharmexcil members in the forum and the Government has requested for nominations from your R&D, QC/QA and Manufacturing teams to participate in the event and gain from this influential gathering. With the objective of supporting the industry, the Government has decided to give 50% discount on the registration fee (i.e) INR 7000 per person, as against the actual registration fee of INR 14,000 per person. Please use the discount code – “BAPHARMEXCIL” in the registration page http://2019.bioasia.in/indian-delegate.html
