Suggestions Invited for

Foreign Trade Policy 2014-19

To,

All the Members of Council,

Dear Sir / Madam

Members are aware that the present Foreign Trade Policy would come to an end in March 2014.  DGFT has initiated process to formulate a new policy for the next five years period i.e. for the period 2014-19.  It is understood that next policy would include a long term and medium term strategy so as to enhance trade competitiveness and overall growth of India's foreign trade.

In view of increasing Current Account Deficit, Government of India would be taking necessary steps not only to increase India's exports, but also to substitute imports during the next five years.  Thus, the Foreign Trade Policy for the period 2014-19 would also include measures to boost productivity, infrastructure etc.

In order to assist DGFT to formulate a Foreign Trade Policy that helps the industry, we request the members to provide their valuable suggestions including long term and short term strategies for the next five years.  The suggestions may please be sent to info@pharmexcil.com ; romumbai@pharmexcil.com   on or before 1st November 2013 to enable us to compile the same and submit to DGFT for their consideration.

Members are advised to take advantage of this opportunity to include all possible requirements of Pharma Industry for the next five years, by sending their suggestions.

With regards

Raghuveer Kini

Executive Director
