Subject:- Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 (GES-2017) from 28-30 November, 2017 at Hyderabad: Invitation for Success Stories
We would like to inform member companies that Council is receipt of communication from Department of Pharmaceuticals, that India is hosting Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 (GES-2017) from 28-30 November, 2017 at Hyderabad as a follow up of the Indo-US Joint Declaration made during the visit of the Hon'ble Prime Minister to USA during June, 2016.
The Summit would be the first one of its kind giving opportunities to put India on the Global Innovation map as a leading nation in the Enterprise and Innovation space. This event will be attended by Entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, CXOs of major multi-national companies and dignitaries from across the world with specific focus on representation from the South and South-East Asia. It is informed that Ms. Ivanka Trump would be leading the US delegation to the Summit.
Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), MoC is organising an exhibition in collaboration with NITI Aayog to showcase success stories of entrepreneurs and innovation by Indian companies or foreign companies operating in India. DIPP has planned to represent the best entrepreneurial successes incorporating business models, technology processes and products around the country across various sectors of the Indian economy, including industry and services.
In this regard, DIPP has requested to share entrepreneurial success stories concerning Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device sectors. The salient features of such stories should be as follows:-
1. Success stories should showcase the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of the most progressive and successfully operating companies in Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device sectors.
2. The entrepreneurs may be of Indian or foreign origin operating in India.
3. They should highlight innovative business models adopted by a company having enabled it to succeed and focus on enabling ecosystem to support the same; and
4. Success stores may represent innovative and successful business both from urban and rural areas with necessary focus on innovation and adoption of progressive technologies.
The Ministry has requested for submission of success stories by 15th Sep.2017.We, therefore, request member companies to submit your success stories to dgdesk@pharmexcil.com in the template provided by DIPP. A copy of the template is enclosed for your kind information.
